This land was first sold by Peter Jr. to Jacob and Catharine on 26 Jun 1787. The land was part of a tract of 400 acres deeded by the former Lords Proprietor of Virginia on 1 Aug 1766 to Peter Coffield, Sr.
Jacob and Catharina Sorber were the godparents of Jacob Cafeld, son of her brother Peter Cafeld and his wife Catharina. Jacob Cafeld was born 4 Mar 1791, and baptised in the Lutheran Zion-Pine Church in Stony Creek, near Edinburgh in Shenandoah County, Virginia on 20 May 1791. Jacob and Catharine Sorber were the godparents of Catharina Drog, daughter of Johan Adam Drog and wife Catharina ___. Little Catharina Drog was born 6 Oct 1786, and baptised in the Lutheran Zion-Pine Church on 6 Nov 1787. They were also the godparents of Georg Meyer, son of Georg and Anna Maria Meyer. Little Georg Meyer was born 24 Aug 1787, and baptised 26 Sep 1787 in the Lutheran Zion-Pine Church. This Anna Maria, with Georg Meyer as her husband, was Ann Mary Haller, the sister of Catharine Haller.
