- Vol. 2 - Hyde vs. Davis's heirs--O. S. 281; N. S. 99--Bill. Orator is John H. Hyde. Involves land in Rockbridge County. Previous to November, 1813, Peter Lowry sold to George Ginlinger, who sold to Jabez Davis, who assigned to orator. Jabez Davis is dead, leaving widow, Christiana Davis, and children, viz: Betsey, who married Larkin Fugate; Maria, who married Thomas Harris; Bowling and Susannah Davis. Jabez had another son, Powhatan, now deceased, leaving widow Nancy and an infant named Betsey. Nancy had married Larkin Taylor. Deed, 29th July, 1818, by Thomas Harris and _____ to Andrew Moore, interest in 150 acres of Borden's tract in Rockbridge, sold to Peter Lowry by decree of Staunton District Court.
