I, Israel Corbit of Appoquinimink Hundred abd County of New Castle andState of Delawar_, being sick and weak, but of sound mind and memory havethought best in order for the settlemend(sic) and distribution of myTemporal affairs, to make this my Last Will and Testament in manner andform following to wit, after my funeral expences and Just Debts are paidby my Executors hereafter mentioned, I give and bequeath as follows_____ First, it is will (well?) that all my Personal Estate shall be equallydivided between my Dear Wife, Mary Corbit, and all my Children, namelyIsrael, Hannah, Abraham, Isaac, Deborah, Richard, Elizabeth, Johnathanand Ann and should my wife be Pregnant and bare a child or more, they arecome in equally with the rest of my present Children, I also leave theProfits arising from my Plantation I now live on , to my Dear Wife forEight Years, she appropriating the same at her discretion forthe bringinrup of my Dear Children and at the expiratin of said Eight Years, I ordersaid Platation to be sold and the Amount thereof arising to be equallydivided between my said Wife and Children as above. Finally I leave myDear Wife and Brother William Corbit, Executors to this my last Will andTestament. In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this20th day of the 4th month 1789.

   Personally appeared Evan Thomas Wabstar, who being Solemnly Sworn andJacob Starr who being Solemnly Affirmed the       subscribing evidencesto the within Will  say that they did see and hear Israel Corbit sign,seal, publish, pronounce and declare the within istrument of writing ashis last Will and Testament. that at the time ofso doing and saying thathe was to the best of their belief of sound and disposing mind andmemory, that they did sign their names as evidences thereunto at hisrequest, in his presence and in the presence of each other, In testimonywhereof I have hereunto set my hand at New Castle May 20th 1789
