U.S. Army Ret. : Horner, Isaac - entered service 1777 in New Jersey, as drummer & blacksmith; died age 94 1/4/1849; married 5/1786 or Spring of 1794 to Zilpha, Pennytown, New Jersey; widow applied for Pension age 92 "near the line of Monongalia, Virginia" in 1849; Pension Application was rejected, insufficient proof of service; [widow] resided 1854 in District 4, Wetzel County, Virginia; had 11 children; children living in 1849: Nathan, Charles, Jacob, John, Eunice, Isaac, Zilpha, William & Joseph; query letter in file in 1927 from great granddaughter Miss Elizabeth Horner Stafford-Ryan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
