OCCUPATION: 1809 - indentured to George & Thomas Binns of Liverpool to be taught, etc. 'the Art or Trade of a merchant.' 1818 - he was made a free Burgess of Liverpool being described as a Leather Factor. He established Robinson and Hadwen, Leather Merchants and Tanning Material Importers (still carried on in Liverpool in 1925 under the original names). He was in partnership for a time with Thomas Binns. [from notes made byHenry Ashworth of the Oaks, Bolton in 1876 with subsequent additions].
