Subj: ETHERIDGES Date: 2/15/99 11:11:52 PM Central Standard Time From: wclemen@uswest.net (Wes & Elaine) To: Sanfordeth@aol.com I was given your e-mail address by Jenny (JETVET1@aol.com). She recommended that I write you since you have a database for Etheridges. I have traced my husband's line back to Isaac Etheridge of Brunswick Co. and later Columbus Co. NC from 1800 to 1830. There was also a John listed as being over 45 in 1800. Isaac left Columbus Co. in the early 1830's and probably travelled through GA as his son, Isaac Green, b. abt 1805 in NC had a son, William, born there about 1835. Isaac died in Bibb Co. AL in 1836. His widow's name was Elizabeth. Elizabeth and her children were living in Bradley Co. AR by 1850. My husband's line comes from Isaac and Elizabeth's son, Joseph James b. 1830 in NC. Isaac Green Etheridge was listed on the 1840 AR Census for Union Co. which later became Bradley Co. He was listed in 1850 in Lowndes Co. AL with a A.M. and Eliza Adams family. I hunch that this Eliza was his sister. By 1860, Isaac Green was back in Bradley Co. AR. This Isaac named one of his sons, Lovett, born 1838 in AR. I hunch that he may have been named after a Lovett that I saw on an early census for NC.
