From Akron News, Akron, Fulton County IN; Wednesday, March 03, 1932:

Isaac Engle, aged farmer of the community north of Akron, passed away at the McDonald hospital at Warsaw Friday, following an operation several days ago for double hernia. Mr. Engle was 79 years old, and had not been in the best of health for some time, due to complications and heart trouble. His death was caused by a sudden heart attack, as he was thought to be recovering satisfactorily from the operation. Mr. Engle was a native of Chillicothe, Ohio, but coming to this locality as a small boy, with his parents, had spent the greater part of his life here, where he had farmed. In January, 1878, he was married to Julia Wideman of this locality, and his death ends a union of 54 years. Four children were born, a son, Homer, dying at the age of five. Three survive. Mrs. Alta Dickey and Mrs. Bessie Reed of Culver, formerly Sadie Dickey of north of Akron, and of Akron. Other surviving relatives are three brothers, John and Jacob Engle of Beaver Dam, and David Engle of Dutchtown; two sisters, Kate and Anna Jefferies of Mentone, with other relatives. Mr. Engle had for many years been a member of the Beaver Dam U. B. church. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Beaver Dam U. B. church, and burial was made in Nichols cemetery.
