I.L. Jameson Called By Death

    I. L. Jameson, well known pioneer Tulare rancher, died yesterday afternoon at his home following an illness.
Born at Napa in 1862, Jameson came to Tulare County as a young man, farming with a brother in the Deer Creek district in the days when the County was a broad expanse of unfenced virgin land. He moved to Tulare in 1887. For more than 40 years he resided on the same ranch four miles north of this city on Blackstone Avenue. He was known as an owner of fine stock and horses during his active ranching years. He belonged to the local Woodmen of the World Lodge.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Ida M. Jameson, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. W. Whiteside of Tulare and Mrs Doris Leeper of San Francisco; two sons, Lawrence Jameson of Sacramento and Lowell Jameson of Visalia; and a brother Edwin Jameson of Santa Cruz.
The funeral will be at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Globle Parlors here.

Tulare Register (Tulare, Tulare, California) Thursday, 10 July 1941, page 1, California State Library, Sacramento, California.
