George farmed around Grant, Nebr. all his life. He was born in Middleburg, Pa. He came to Nebr. in 1883 in and immigrant train. In 1887, he purchased the "Gossard" section, 7 mi. N.W. of Grant. He lived as a bachelor in a one-room shanty until his marriage. Ida was born in Octavia, Nebr. She now lives in Grant, Nebraska.
