In 1910 she was a school teacher, living with her grandmother. In 1920 and 1930 she was a public school teacher, living alone.

Florence Fulmer gave the Bury family Bible to Ruth Laug TerKeurst, who gave it to Diane Hosler.

Jeanne Fulmer Pacent, a niece, lived with her for three years from 1932-35. Jeanne said Florence was a wonderful person, dedicated to children. She was a good teacher and encouraged reading, but wouldn't allow Jeanne to be in her classroom.

Geneva Laug Hosler, a cousin once removed, said Florence came to Michigan frequently for visits and always brought gifts to Geneva and her siblings. She was smart and very proper, especially in the way she dressed.

Mary Louise Shade Fletcher in an e-mail to Jeanne Pacent said, 'I attended Summit School around 1933 and had Florence Fulmer as my fifth-grade teacher. I used to play with Miss Fulmer's niece--probably you. She was one of my favorite teachers ...'
