Marriage record lists Shelby Coffey and Mary Ann (Parrigan, crossed out) Hill as her parents. Birth records for 1878, the year of Ida's birth, show an Ida F. Coffey born to Sidney and Francis Coffey; however, birth records for the same year also show two children, one male and one female, surnamed Parrigan born to Shelby Coffey and Mary Ann Hill, though the microfilm copy is very faint there and the given names are illegible.
