Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants:

• M-53: Mr. Humphry Keys of Frederick Co., 113 acres near Potomack River on Elk Branch in said Co. Surv. Mr. Thomas Rutherford. Adj. Joseph McCarnes (McCames?), William Hall, Mr. Henry Moore, Keys own line. 23 Sept. 1762. [Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants, 1742-1775, Vol. 2, Gertrude E. Gray, pg. 145].

• P-52: Mr. Humfrey Keyes of Frederick Co., acting Executor of his Father Gersham Keyes dec'd set forth that survey was made for Gersham Keyes on Hanging Rock Run of North Branch of Great Cacapehon in Hampshire Co. Gersham Keyes departed this life without obtaining Deed but his will ordered land to be sold to discharge his debts & for other purposes. 400 acres to Humfrey Keyes to dispoe [dispose?] of agreeable with said Will.
