- Pg. 212-215: Indenture made 7th/8th December 1769 between SARAH CALDWELL Widow and relict of Hugh Caldwell deceased and WILLIAM CALDWELL Son and Heir of HUGH CALDWELL of parish Cameron in county Loudoun of one part and John Cargyll of same county. Sold two parcels of land the first situated on Goose Creek containing by estimation 100 acres the other containing by estimation 248 acres being part of a patent for 348 acres granted by proprietors of Northern Neck of Virginia to Hugh Caldwell deceased by patent bearing date 5th June 1744 . . . which lands conveyed after death of Hugh Caldwell became estate of SARAH CALDWELL and WILLIAM CALDWELL. . . .
