Hoyt Elmer Jaynes was born on 15 Sep 1911 in Jefferson, Texas. He helped on the farm until he joined the navy. He married Pauline Williams and they had two sons. Hoyt was Don's favorite uncle. He worked for his Uncle Hoyt, driving a gasoline delivery truck most summers as soon as he was old enough to drive and that saved him from having to work for his Dad refinishing office furniture. Hoyt died in Aug 1977 in Irving, Dallas, Texas.
