Born Feb. 26, 1927, in Manchester, he was the son of Nelson H. and Gladys M. (Ellison) Ring. He graduated from Manchester Central High School and Hesser College. He moved to Loudon in 1985 and lived in Concord since October 2003. In the 1940s, Mr. Ring, his brother Leon and their father started N.H. Ring & Sons. In 1968, the business became Ring & Cavanaugh, and in 1988, it became Leisure Time Distributors, of which Howard Ring was president at he time of his death. He attended Loudon Center Free Will Baptist Church and Hillsborough Baptist Church. Mr. Ring loved horses, flying his own plane, travel and the outdoors.
In His Life: Members of his family include his wife of almost 50 years, Marion M. (MacDonald) Ring of Concord; his son, Scott C. Ring and his wife Marcia of Hillsborough; his daughter Karen J. Rowe and her husband Brian, of Worthington, Mass.; six grandchildren, Sean Ring, Christopher Ring, Katlyn Rowe, Kevin Ring, Meghan Ring and Caleb Rowe; a sister, Pearl Ring, predeceased him. ..... The funeral is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. .... Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. ......
