Homer E. Kifer, 82, of 310 North Second St., Jeannette, died Friday at 6:15 p.m. in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted after becoming ill suddenly Sept. 18, (1971). Born in Westmoreland City Oct. 13, 1888, he was a son of the late Jacob and Alice Graham Kifer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Gard Miller Kifer, in 1965 and three children Glenn Kifer, Mrs. Helen Henry and Ellsworth Kifer.
A retired Elliott Company receiving clerk with 22 years of service, he was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Jeannette, and the Elliott Company Veterans Association.
Surviving are four children, Darryle L. of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Suzanne Watson and Mrs. Earl (Stella) Stiffey, both of Jeannette, and Earle R. of Olathe, Kan.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a brother, P. Martin Kifer of Greensburg Rd.
