Glenn A. Kifer, 59, of 549 John Edwards Lane, Greensburg, died Monday at 7:20 p.m. in his home following a lingering illness.
He was a son of Homer and Garda Miller Kifer of Jeannette. He was a former manage of the G. C. Murphy Store in Greensburg, retiring three years ago. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 526, F&A.M. of Elizabeth and the G. C. Murphy's Veteran's Club.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, Mrs. Sara Kifer, three children, Mrs. Joan Kim Hampton, Va., Mrs. Betty May Hoffman, Martinsville, Va and Richard, St. Petersburg, Fla., and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Ellsworth, Mrs. Susanne Watson, and Mrs. Earl (Stella) Stiffy, all of Jeannette, Darryle of Denver, Colo., and Earle, Olahte, Kan.
Friends will be received at the Miller-Whitlatch-McClure Funeral Home, Jeannette, daily from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Ray B. Brugler, of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg, officiating. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Miller-Whitlatch-McClure Funeral Home in charge.
