Oneida Co., New York Will Book 16, pg 477: "At the Surrogate's Court, held at the office in Vinton (Oruinton) in the County of Oneida on the 16th day of December, 1861...Proving and recording the last will of Testament of Hezekiah Saunders,late of the town of Bridgewater in the County of Oneida, deceased...State of New York...Samuel Williams-- in said willnamed Executor. Ezra Brown of Bridgewater...testified that he was well acquainted with Hezekiah Saunders, deceased, and had been for 30 yrs....he died in the month of September last past,at Bridgewater...which was his last place of residence at the time of his death...Ella M. Williams says that said will is of his handwriting. She is of Bridgewater... She was acquainted with Hezekiah Saunders, deceased, and had been for the last 10 yrs...Witness, Henry M. Burechard...the 16th day of December, 1861. Henry Sig--"Will Book 16, pg 478:

"I, Hezekiah Saunders, of the town of Bridgewater, Oneida County, and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, I do make and publish this Last Will and Testament, in manner following that is to say: after all my just debts and funeral charges are paid, I direct and request that all my estate, both real and personal, of every description (or the avails of the real estate if sold), be divided into four equal parts. One fourth part thereof I give and bequeath to my son, Abel Saunders, and one fourth part thereof I give and bequeath to my son, Charles Saunders, and one fourth part thereof I give and bequeath to my daughter, Eleanor, now the widow of O.H. Sheldon, deceased, and the remaining one fourth part thereof I give and bequeath to the children of my son, Hezekiah Saunders, now deceased, and to be equally divided between said children and notes that I now hold or may hereafter hold given by anyone the above named and remaining unpaid at my decease, I hereby direct to the amount of the note or notes so given by each and remaining unpaid deducted from the sale or part of the one who gave the same and I hereby appoint and nominate Samuel Williams to be the Executor this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made and I hereby authorize and empower my said executor to sell and convey any part or all my real estate and to give to the purchaser or purchasers good and sufficient deed of the same and if sold the avails thereof to be divided as above stated. In witness whence of I have here unto set my hand and seal this event -- day of June in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one. Hezekiah Saunders. Names as witness: Ezra Brown, residing in Bridgewater, Oneida Co., NY and Ella M. Williams, residing in Bridgewater, Oneida Co., NY. Old Tobe, Crandall - He signed an affidavit from Bridgewater, NY in the year given for Augustus Saunders' Rev. War Pension, who was from Brookfield, NY.  He called himself a "cousin".

He may have had a son, Hezekiah Saunders, who married Jerusha Branch. ONEIDA COUNTY, NEW YORK
