Herman Alton Tedford, 79, of Fayetteville, died at his home Friday. BornSeptember 16, 1893 in Roswell, New Mexico, the son of William H. and EllaCox (Cocke?) Tedford, he was a retired farmer and a member of the UnitedPentecostal church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs.. Velma Porter Tedford of the home; threesons, Herman and Raymond of Fayetteville and Jimmy Tedford of Amarillo,Texas; two daughters, Mrs.. June Fallwell of Fayetteville and Mrs.. PatRidgeway of Sacramento, California. one brother, R. B. Tedford ofFayetteville; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grand children.

Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the United Pentecostal churchwith burial in National Cemetery under direction of Moore's chapel.
