Eliza Mary Tedford was born in Kerr County, Texas, September 14, 1884,moved to the plains in 1895, and on September 11, 1902, was married to J.W. Letsinger, at Plainview, Texas. She was the mother of five children:Susie May, James Alton, Mary Jane, William Ralf and Ella Virginia, all ofwhom are living except Ella Virginia, the three year old baby who died inher mother's arms in the accident in which Mrs.. Letsinger was killed nearMonroe Switch, on April 13, about 5 o' clock in the afternoon.

Besides her children and husband she leaves a father, three brothers,three sisters, and a host of friends to mourn her loss.

Her father, W. H. Tedford, and brothers, Milton, Alton and Ralph and onesister, Mrs.. Ethel Morton live at Friona, Texas. One sister Mrs.. W. B.Crow lives at ranger, and the other sister, Mrs.. Annie Brown, lives atBelen, New Mexico.

Mrs.. Letsinger was a good Christian woman, loved by all who knew her andher death was a great loss to the community in which she lived.

She was buried at the old strip cemetery east of Abernathy, where a hostof friends and acquaintances attend the funeral.
