    Henry Wessel Claimed By Death
    Henry J. Wessel, 79, long time farmer northeast of Greenfield died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines wher he had been a patient for 17 days.
    Surviving Mr. Wessel are three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Rodenbaugh of Ankeny, Mrs. Edna Edsall of Fontanelle, and Mrs. Mary Valentine of Greenfield, and three sons Gene, Loyd and Albert, all of Greenfield; one brother John Wessel of Portland, Oregon, 18 grandchidren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Wessel preceded her husband in death September 1, 1958.
    Funeral services for Mr. Wessel were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 5 at the Bickford- Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield with Max Shelley officiating.
    Mrs. Rose Ann Wallace sang two hymns, " Jehovah God, My Shepherd" and " All Things New" accompanied by Shirley Tucker, organist.
    Burial was in the family plot in the Greenfield cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Coleman, Edward Coleman, Larry Coleman, Loren Edsall, Lyle Edsall, Albert Valentine.
    Members of the floral committee were Mrs. Florence Kent and Mrs. Judy Whitmer.
