"Henry, son of Philip and Lucy Ritter, was born June 20, 1845, in WayneCounty Ohio, and died at his home in Steuben County, Indiana, August 6,1925, at the age of 80 years, one month and 16 days. In the year 1867he was married to Sarah Wolf. After about two years of married life shepassed away. Then on June 12, 1870, he was married to Minerva Pruden,who passed away August 27, 1924. To this union were born 15 children,eight of whom died in infancy. He leaves seven children and 31grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, one brother, threehalf-sisters and two half-brothers to mourn his loss. Services wereheld in Mount Zion church Sunday, August 9, by Dr. John Humphreys. Theburial was at Mount Zion."
