[edit] Life in New England1638-39: A list of the first proprietors of Sudbury does not name his as proprietor, but does indicate he received 12 acres 1643: first grant of land; also married this year. 1645: Took oath of fidelity (in Framingham?) July 9 1648: Made freeman; 1656: was an early proprietor (with father Edmund and brother Edward) of Marlborough. It names his two sons, Jonathan and David, and a son-in-law Thomas Drury. It also names seven daughters: 1. Elisabeth Brewer 2. Hannah Taylor <-- THIS CONFIRMS THAT HENRY a) HAD A DAUGHTER NAMED HANNAH, and b) THAT SHE MARRIED SOMEONE NAMED TAYLOR. 3. Tamisana Parmenter 4. Lidia Wheelock 5. Mercy Allen 6. Abigail Smith 7. Rachel Drury Also mentioned frequently in his will was a granddaughter, Mary Brigham, living with Henry Rice at the time he made his will. This implies the existence of an 8th daughter, who is probably Mary Rice, who had been married to Thomas Brigham; she died before Thomas's 1695 second marriage.
