Murders wife and hangs self:
Mr. and Mrs. Henry N. Heuton of Northwest Street in Carroll were found dead in their home on Sunday about 8 o'clock, by their son Roy, who stopped on his way to church to visit his parents. It is believed Mr. Heuton cut his wife's throat with a butcher knife and then went to the basement and hanged himself The time of the tragedy is thought to have been about 2 AM. Mr. Heuton was 76 years old and Mrs. Heuton was 71. Mr. Heuton was in excellent health but had recently been in the hospital for an operation. Mrs. Heuton was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Chris Wenck and Mr. Heuton was the son of Nanne and Johanne nee Best, Heuton. They were married March 6, 1901 by Rev. Charles Bently, Pastor of the Methodist Church in Carroll. They lived on a farm for many years and accumulated considerable wealth. Upon retiring from the farm they moved to Carroll. Funeral on Tues. at 2:30 at the Carroll Methodist Church.
