Uxbridge – Henry F. Ebbeling, 84, of Uxbridge, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was the husband of Virginia E. (Lindblom) Ebbeling.

Mr. Ebbeling was employed for the former Whitin Machine Works for 44 years.

He was born Dec. 17, 1928 in Northbridge, a son of the late Titus Ebbeling, Sr. and Dora (Koopmans) Ebbeling.

Mr. & Mrs. Ebbeling observed their 49th wedding anniversary on Nov. 16, 2012.

Henry served as the animal control officer in Uxbridge and Northbridge for many years. He was also a barn and animal inspector for many years in Northbridge.

In addition to his wife Virginia, he is survived by two sons, James H. and his wife Kathryn Ebbeling and Gerald F. and his wife Angel C. Ebbeling, all of Uxbridge; three daughters, Donna M. Roe of Brimfield, Patti G. and her husband Thomas Ranslow of Uxbridge and Wendy E. and her husband William Rogers of Warren; two brothers, Ernest Ebbeling of Uxbridge and William Donald Ebbeling of Guilford, Maine; two sisters, Grace Baker of Whitinsville and Eleanor Baca of Douglas; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Titus Ebbeling, Jr., Sidney Ebbeling, Herman Ebbeling and George Ebbeling.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at 10 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.

Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Providence Rd., Northbridge.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockdale Congregational Church, 46 Fowler Rd., Northbridge, MA 01534.
