Called "Henny". Mrs. John L. Montgomery gave a Sunday night buffet supper dance last night at the Sherry-Netherland for her debutante daughter, Miss Henrietta Wardwell. Spring flowers were used in the decorations. Miss Wardwell. who received with her mother, wore a bouffant gown of red quilted satin and a wreath of white flowers in her hair. She carried a bouquet of white gardenias. Mrs. Montgomery wore a gown of black crepe satin and a corsage of mauve orchids. Miss Wardwell attended Oldfields, Glencoe, Md., and later was graduated from Miss Wright's School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She is a member of the Junior League of New York. -New York Times 23 December 1935 MISS WARDWELL BECOMES A BRIDE Daughter of Mrs. John Lewis Montgomery Married Jan. 23 to Haley Fiske 2d Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis Montgomery of 29 East Eighty-third Street have announced the marriage of Mrs. Montgomery's daughter, Miss Henrietta Wardwell, to Haley Fiske 2d. which took place ion Jan. 23 at Pound Ridge, N. Y. The ceremony was performed in the Episcopal Church by the Rev. John Y. Leming. The bride, daughter of the late Chester Alan Wardwell of Boston, attended Oldfields School in Glencoe, Md., and was graduated in 1935 from Miss Wright's School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She was introduced to society on Dec. 22, 1935, at a dinner dance at the Sherry-Netherland, and is a member of the Junior League. Miss Florence Wardwell, a student at Chatham Hall in Virginia, is the bride's sister. Mrs. Fiske, granddaughter of J. Otis Wardwell of Boston and Mrs. Frank Ogden Magie of Chicago, is descended through the family of her mother, the former Miss Henrietta Magie, from General Israel Putnam, Sir Thomas Hooker, DeWitt Clinton and Edward Hyde, first Earl of Clarendon. Mr. Fiske is the son of Mrs. Archibald Falconer Fiske of 16 East Ninety-eighth Street, the former Miss Harriet Gring of Cambridge. Mass., and the late Mr. Flake. The Misses Brenda, Natalie and Mary Fiske are his sisters. The bridegroom, who attended Milton Academy and the University of Virginia, is a grandson of the late Haley Fiske, who was for many years president of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and of Ambrose Gring, a missionary in Japan for thirty years. Mr. Fiske, whose father opened the Ottawa office of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. of which he was second vice president, is with that organization in this city. RENO, Nev., July 12-Mrs. Henrietta Wardwell Fiske obtained a divorce today from Haley Fiske 2d of New York on the ground of cruelty, and afterward was married to John B. Dolman of Carmel, Calif. Mr. Fiske, a grandson of the late Haley Fiske, long president of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, married the former Miss Wardwell at Pound Ridge, N.
