From the May 5, 1943, edition of the Dubuque Telegraph Herald Harry Bughman Dies Suddenly Bus Driver Here Succumbs at Daughter's Home Harry J. Bughman, 50, of 2409 Jackson St., for many years employed by the Interstate Power Co. as a bus driver, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Widmeier, in Chicago, Ill. Mr. Bughman had been visiting at his daughter's home when he suffered a heart attack. Bringing Body Here The body is to be brought to Dubuque and will be taken to the Hoffmann Mortuary where it may be viewed after 6 o'clock Thursday. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Bughman was born January 1, 1893, at Zwingle. He had been a resident of Dubuque for the past 21 years and during that time was employed as a street car operator and a bus driver by the Interstate Power Co. He was a life-long member of the Catholic Faith and a member of St. Patrick's Parish. He was a member of the Amalgamated Association of Motor Coach Employees in America. He was married at the Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque February 15, 1926, to Celestine McCarthy. Many Survivors Surviving with his widow are his daughters, Mrs. John (Eileen) Wampole, Mrs. William (Margurite) Widmeier, Chicago, Ill., Miss Shirley Bughman and Miss Carol Bughman, Dubuque; his sons Glenn and Robert Bughman, Dubuuqe; his sisters Mrs. Howard E. Kifer, Dubuque, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hutchins, Sioux City, Ia.; his brother William Bughman, Dubuque; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mrs. Jennie Hutchins Bughman; and one brother. Image Gallery
