Hannah Niles is the widow of both Abram Noyes and John Wood. Hannah left her second husband, John Wood, and daughter, Mary, in the pioneer cemetery at Royal Oak and moved to Harrisville with her children, Nancy and Abram Noyes, Sarah and John Wood. Nephews William and Daniel Noyes earlier had helped build the first dock and the store which the sons operated as A. Noyes & Brother's Store.
