Marriage 28 Dec 1843 Seneca Co., Ohioto George White
Death? 9 Feb 1854 Richland Grove Twp., Mercer, Illinois

BIRTH: Per Burial notes herein, was born at South Thomaston, ME. Therefore, I deleted earlier listing as Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Maine.

BIOGRAPHY: Hannah eventually migrated from Ohio to IL in 1853 w/her children. According to "History of Henry County Illinois", Vol. II, by Kiner. She first moved to live with a son in WI, finally to IL to live in home of her son John A. Jordan where she passed away in 1854. According to 2005 research by Susanne (Burt) Danubio, Hannah married a George White on 28 Dec 1843 in Seneca Co., OH. Listed as Hannah J. White in 1850 Fed. Census for Berlin, Marquette Co., WI enumerated on 16 Sep 1850, age 68, b. ME, implying that George either died or she was divorced since no other persons are listed with her in the census image and she was living next to the Samuel Southard's, who would be Hannah's Daughter Ellen Hannah Jordan, married to Samuel William Southard - see FGR-178.

BURIAL: Jeremy Jordan has photo of her headstone, marked only "HJ". Her daughter, Elvira Keating (Jordan) Miller, RIN-264, had a large monument erected with Hanna's particulars added to an end panel through a bequest in her Will, which reads: "Mother, Hannah, Wife of Robert Jordan, Born at South Thomaston, ME., Dec 24, 1781, Died at Richland Grove, Mercer Co., Ills. Feb 9, 1854".
