Birth date is also shown as 28 Nov 1825, not 18 Nov 1825 as shown in Jordan Memorial. The 28 Nov 1825 birth date is also confirmed by the Southard website. Ellen is a twin sister of Elvira.

BIOGRAPHY: Listed as Ellen H. Southard in 1850 Fed. Census for Berlin, Marquette Co., WI enumerated on 16 Sep 1850, age 25, b. ME, in household of husband Samuel and 2 children. Listed as Ellen H. Southard in 1870 Fed. Census for Western Twp, [P.O. is Orion], Henry Co., IL, enumerated on 12 Aug 1870, age 44, b. ME, keeping house. Resided at one time in OR, where husband died, then lived in Dixon, Solano Co., CA in 1880s. "The Family Jordan" book indicated she was re-married to a Mr. Wells, no other data. The 1840 Fed. Census for Adams Twp., Seneca Co., OH shows two females, 10-15 yrs old, probably this person and her twin sister Elvira.
