- ↑ Source:Deane, Samuel. History of Scituate (Massachusetts), p. 294, identifies Hannah Jenkins as the daughter of Edward Jenkins, but when the will of Edward in 1699 is abstracted, it names a granddaughter Hannah Turner. Does this refer to Hannah, or to Hannah's daughter Hannah, b. 1697? If the latter case, it is odd that he names only one of at least two existing children of Hannah (maybe more depending on exact dates) and does not name the mother. It would seem more natural that the "granddaughter Hannah Turner" referred to was the mother, and she was actually the daughter of a son of Edward? Edward's son Thomas had a daughter Hannah b. 1679, who is clearly too young to be this Hannah, but shows that Edward's children were approximately old enough to have had a daughter who married in 1693 (i.e., born by 1675).
