Turner, Thomas and Hannah Jenkins, Feb. 9, 1763.
[Note: "Marriages at Scituate, Mass. Prior to 1700", Source:NEHGR, p. 18:285, has "Thomas Turner and Hannah Jenkins, 9 Feb. 1695". Since the purpose of this article was to give more precise dates where DeaneS2 only gave years, and since Deane gives 1693, this suggests the NEHGR printing is a mis-transcription. It is true that the 1693 marriage date matches exactly the birth date of the first son named Ephraim, and so it seems probable that the first Ephraim was the result of a bookkeeping error, and never existed. However, 9 Feb 1695/96 would still cause problems with the birth of David, whose position as the oldest surviving child is confirmed by the ordering in the father's will, so it definitely looks like the year was misread in the NEHGR transcript.]
