Mrs. Hannah Bedell, wife of John Wesley Bedell, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph R. Wood, 111 Broadway, aged 81 years, 11 months. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W. A. Richard, pastor of the M. E. Church, and Rev. Charles Herbert Scholey, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating; interment at the Greenfield Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Bedell had married 61 years, and besides the husband, there are surviving four children, Mrs. Joseph R. Wood and Mrs. Wm. E Golder of this village; Henry R. Bedell of Hempstead and Dr. Bedell of Mr. Vernon. Another son, Charles W. Bedell died about two years ago.

Comments from Bill Bedell in an email Nov 2012: Henry and Eliza Jackson are buried right next to Hannah and John Welsey, my 2nd Great Grandparents and their headstones say, Our Mother and Our Father. Also, John and Hannah's first born, Lydia, her middle name is Eliza and Lydia and Henry Wood are in the graves right behind John and Hannah.
