HARDY, Hannah, d. Francis and Abigail, [born] Feb. 2, 1740.
[Note: Baptism of Sarah is recorded 15 Feb 1740-1 which would require that this date be 1739/40. The Hoyt article cited below, says Sarah "probably d. young" which indicates that there is no further indication that a daughter Sarah ever existed, and since it is not documented if Hannah was ever baptized in her own right, Hannah and Sarah may be the same person. However, based on the date of marriage, a birth in 1739/40 would be about when the first child is expected, so until evidence appears showing no daughter Sarah existed, Hoyt's conclusion is followed, and the birth is assumed to be 1739/40.]
