    Abel Holman, son of John and Judith (Huse) Holman, was born Jan 5, 1738, at West Newbury. Will filed Feb 6, 1816. He married, Dec. 10, 1765, in Newburyport, Mass., Mrs. Hannah Hardy, who was born in 1740, probably in Newbury, and died Dec. 24. 1815, Ward, aged 75 years.

    Abel Holman's Will was made Aug. 30, 1811; filed Feb. 6, 1816; allowed Mar. 5, 1816. To sons, John and Moses, all personal estate, but some of it to the children of the son Francis, deceased, but all for wife during life. Son John made Executor. He was of Ward. Abel Holman was a soldier of the Revolution.

I., on the alarm of Dec. 10, 1776 ; also, same co. and regt. ; service, 30 days, including travel (290 miles) from home and return ; company marched Sept. 26, 1777, to reinforce Northern army for 30 days at the time of taking Gen. Burgoyne.
