Westborough 3 Jul 1751 Hannah, d/o David and Sarah Crosby of Shrewsbury. The marriage is listed in the Westborough VRs, which also give the births of their children: Hannah 1752, Prudence 1755, Anna 1756, Samuel 1759, Adonijah 1761, Sarah 1763, John 1765, Mary 1768, Relief and Submit 1771.

Source:Ward, Andrew Henshaw. History of the Town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts from Its Settlement in 1717 to 1829, p. 226, says Asa Bouker m. (2) Shrewsbury 3 Oct 1752 Hannah, d/o David Crosby. The marriage is recorded in the Shrewsbury VRs. She d. 1762. They also show that Hannah d. 1762.

Mr. Ward cannot have it both ways.

The birth of Hannah, daughter of David Crosby and Sarah Foster is not recorded. Thomas Foster of Billerica deeded in 1731 to his daughter Sarah, wife of David Crosby of Shrewsbury (NEHGR, 26:399). No date is given in their marriage record in Billerica, but they have other recorded children b. 1727, 1729, and 1731. Given that David Crosby was born 1703, his daughter Hannah was probably young and would be more likely to match well with Adonijah Rice and his many children, while Asa Bouker's 2nd wife is probably an older widow since they had no children and she died 10 years later. But it is clear that Mr. Ward had no idea who Hannah Crosby was, and was just speculating.
