“TEARE, Halsey Jackson, treas.; born, Cleveland, Oct. 29, 1888; son [of] Elmer E. and Mary Louise (Jackson) Teare; educated, public school and Culver Military academy; married, Cleveland, Oct. 5, 1912 to Florence Shattuck; upon leaving school in 1908[,] became associated with his father, Elmer E. Teare in [the] firm of Potter, Teare & Co., lumber merchants; this partnership existed until consolidation into Northern Ohio Lumber & Timber Co. in 1922 at which time Mr. Teare was appointed asst. treas. [assistant treasurer]; upon the death of his father, he was elected treas.; director, Cleveland Savings & Loan Co., Mutual Mortgage Co., Metropolitan Motor Ins. [Insurance] Co.; Acme Fence & Iron Co.; vice pres. Highland Lumber Co.; treas. Cleveland Belmont Coal Co.; member Monas Relief soc.
