[edit] Obituary for Gottlieb BockWarren Daily Tribune A Veteran's Death Gottlieb Boch <sic>, aged 76, a veteran living in Lordstown, was found dead in a cornfield near his residence, Friday evening about seven o'clock, by his son, Ed. Boch. Mr. Boch had been in his usual health, and at supper had partaken of a hearty meal. Soon afterward he went out for a walk, and when he did not return, the family became somewhat alarmed, and a search was made, with the above result. It is supposed he died from a stroke of paralysis. Gottlieb Boch was a member of the 20th O.V.I. and served throughout the war, marching with Sherman to the sea. During the war he had his feet frozen, which had made him partially crippled since, and from which he had suffered. He leaves a wife and a family of ten grown children to mourn his death. The funeral will be held at the home, at 2 o'clock Sunday, Rev. Busch conducting the services. References
