[edit] Obituary for John Jacob BockFrom: Warren Tribune Chronicle A stroke suffered two weeks ago caused the death of John J. Bock, Palmyra rd. ext. Wednesday evening at his home. Mr. Bock spent his entire life in Warren and Lordstown and was a farmer by occupation. He was born in Lordstown Jan. 24, 1862, the son of Gottlieb and Catherine Bock. Surviving are three brothers, J. H. Bock, Warren, William C. Bock, Southington, and F. E. Bock, Palmyra rd., six sisters, Mrs. Helen Klingeman, Mrs. Anna Hoagland, Mrs. Emma Williams, Mrs. Lillian Shade, Warren, and Mrs. Rose Harmon and Mrs. Mina Bedell, Cleveland. The body was removed to the home where it will remain until Saturday morning. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the J.H. Bock home, 336 Tod S.W. by Rev. C.L. Rush. Interment in Paltz Grove <sic> cemetery, Lordstown. Warren Tribune Chronicle Services for the late John J. Bock were conducted at the J.H. Bock residence at 2 p.m. today in charge of Rev. C.L. Rush. R.C. McCorkle, Robert Hines, William Kibler, Abert Klingensmith, Charles Portz and John Hurd were pallbearers. Interment was in Paltzgrove <sic> cemetery, Lordstown. |
