Glenn graduated from Stanley High School in 1934, and in 1938 graduated from St. Olaf College, Magna Cum Laude with Special Honors in Physics. He received a teaching fellowship in Physics at the Univ. Minnesota, from which he received his Ph. D. degree in 1947. He worked as a Senior Physicist at the Bureau of Ships, Navy Department, from 1941 to 1946. From 1947 to 1952 he was a Research Physicist at the General Electric Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. He transferred to the Gen. Elect. Research and Development Center as an Applied Mathematician in 1952, working on a wide variety of problems in electrical and chemical engineering, metallurgy, statistics, medical physics, and manufacturing techniques. After retiring in 1980 he continued as a part time mathematics consultant for G.E. until 1988. His prime hobbies are computerized mathematical analysis, quality cooking, home construction & repair, and photography.
