Elsa graduated from the Stanley High School in 1938. She was a member of a quartette which was awarded "superior" at the State High School Music Contest in 1938. Elsa attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison from 1938-1942, working towards a teaching degree. She enjoyed secretarial and bookkeeping work more and with a husband's military transfer to Los Angeles, California found a job at an acoustical contracting firm and stayed 25 years. Retired to Sun City, Arizona in 1973. Preferring activity, went to work as secretary at Sun City Water Co. and later transferred to the new Sun City West Water Co. as office manager. Retired again in 1985. She has traveled and done volunteer work since. She is an active member of Business and Professional Women's Club. Born in the newly built Victory Hospital.
