Glenn L. Loughner, 78, of West Newton, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Hutchinson, a son of the late Daniel Loughner and Beulah Caslow Loughner. Glenn was a retired gauge repairman at Christy Park, McKeesport. Prior to employment at Christy Park, he worked at U.S. Steel Clairton Works. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, West Newton, and the Holy Name Society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Glenda; and six brothers, Daniel, Henry, Richard, Wayne, Eugene and Bill Loughner. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie (Highducheck) Loughner; three daughters, Joyce Remic, of Michigan, Gloria Gambogi and her husband, Louis, of Penn Hills, and Charlene Chawkey and her husband, Michael, of Scottdale; a son, Clifford Loughner, of West Newton; three grandchildren, Joey, David and Glenda Marie Remic; two brothers, Sam Loughner, of Uniontown and Fred Loughner, of Louisiana; and two sisters, Florence Stevenson, of Greensburg, and Dorothy Heinks, of Maryland.
