Born at Boston 9 Aug. 1671; called cordwainer in Milford records, which prove his removal to Fairfield. At baptism of children, called Sergt. 1710, Ens. 1713 to 1716, and Lt. 1721. Conveyed 1729 to son and dau. Thomas and Sarah Couch; to son and dau. Thomas and Ann Hanford.

    Will 22 Jan. 1750/1, proved 5 Feb. 1750/1; wife Jane; sons John, David, George; if George leaves no issue, the land to go equally to John and David; daus. Sarah Keeler, Abigail Wakeman, Mary Penfield, Hannah Gibbs; gr. dau. Sarah Hanford.
