    [page 9]Gershom CARPENTER, second son of Ashman and Mary (Boyle) CARPENTER, also settled in Saltfleet. He, with his brother, John, received a Crown Grant for Lots 16-17, Concession II but in 1808 he lived on Lot 13, Conc. I...He died in 1845, and with his wife Sarah (Petit) Carpenter is buried in St. Andrew's churchyard, Grimsby.
