Obituary

PORTT, George, son of the late Thomas Portt, from King's Co. [Offaly], Ireland, grandson of the late Philip Roblin of Sophiasburgh, lost his father when he was 18 m. old, and was placed under the care of his uncle, Owen Roblin when he was 9. He attended Victoria College at age 18, and died at Owen Roblin's residence, Ameliasburgh, May 4, 1848. - Aug. 2, 1848, p. 166, O. [1]
