The family was still in Wood County in July 1904 when daughter Bessie Jackson married James Garfield Reeder. Daughter Lettie married Melvin Tucker in July 1906 in Wood County. By Feb 1908 the family was in Hancock County where daughter Ida married George Kimble. Daughter Kate married Harvey Deem in 1910 in Hancock County.

Also in 1900 said they had been married 20 yrs. The children's ages appear to be guesses when compared to the 1900 census. Charley's middle initial agrees with his birth record which merely says C. R. Jackson.)

But now look at this 1910 Census record. Could George have been just visiting his dau Ida or are we talking about two different George Jacksons??? http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1910USCenIndex&indiv=try&h=22414640 1910 Census Dist 0108, Ravenna, Portage Co., Ohio enumerated 8 May 1910 Kimble, George W. So is this even the correct George and Ida? I have concluded that George must have been enumerated twice because in 1940 census http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll? db=1940usfedcen&h=147102003&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&rhSource=7884 George Kimble with wife Ida are living in Hancock County, WV, the location of George Jackson's 1910 census record.] But the informant of George Jackson's Hancock County death certificate must not have access to George's birth record! The birth date and names of parent's given on that death certificate certainly do not agree with my research.

George W Jackson Ohio, Death Index, 1908-1932, 1938-1944, and 1958-2007 at familysearch.org Name: George W Jackson Event Type: Death Event Date: 02 May 1924 Event Place: , Jefferson, Ohio, United States Residence Place: Ohio Page: 4109 Source Reference: Ohio Department of Health [Note that George's wife Nancy also died in Jefferson County, Ohio.]

Why does this WV Death Index record a death in Ohio? There seems to be a lot wrong with this death certificate! The birth date appears correct, but he was not born in Pennsylvania and the parents' names are not correct. But the date and location of death agree with the Ohio death record. And Locust Hills Cemetery is located in George's home town. West Virginia, Deaths Index, 1853-1973 about George W. Jackson Name: George W. Jackson Birth Date: 19 Oct 1852 Birth Place: Pennsylvania Death Date: 2 May 1924 Death Place: Yorkville, Ohio [Jefferson Co.] Burial Date: 5 May 1924 Cemetery Name: Locust Hills [Hancock Co., WV] Death Age: 71 years 7 months 11 days Occupation: Farmer Marital Status: Married Gender: Male Father Name: John Jackson Father Birth Place: Penna Mother Name: Mary Smith Mother Birth Place: Penna FHL Film Number: 858821

So this is a puzzlement that I have not solved: There is a death certificate recorded in Hancock County for George W. Jackson who died in Chester, Hancock County, West Virginia on apparently the same day. The informant on this death certificate is Mrs. George Kimble [George's daughter, Ida Jackson Kimble]. On this record George's parents are named John Jackson and Mary Smith, both born in Pennsylvania. The URL for this record is http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=422327&Type=Death. The birth date for this George is 19 Oct 1852.
