George Eskridge
Born about 1723 in Westmoreland County, VAmap [uncertain]
Son of William Eskridge and Abigail (Colborne) Eskridge
Brother of Robert Eskridge, Thomas Eskridge and Samuel Eskridge

Reportedly the administrator of his father's estate in 1747 and guardian of his brother Samuel, so must have been born by 1726. Reportedly living in Dorchester Co., MD in 1748. In 1745 he prayed the court to allow him to sell certain lands to pay the debts of his grandfather, Col. George Eskridge, who had died leaving debts in England and this country, amounting to more than his personal estate. William, the eldest son, and father of young George, had been paying off some of these debts since the death of Col. George in 1735. These two boys, George and Samuel, must have had some trouble with their step-father, as on March 31, 1752, Samuel was ordered to pay his brother George a certain amount of tobacco for appearing against William Dunbar.
