  7. As told by George Washington Bogart: "George Bogart, my uncle was born in Tennessee, near Knoxville in 1825. He married Elizabeth Hollis in 1848. Family: William, Yandell, Latour, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth. Uncle George was about six feet twoinches and around two hundred pounds, no surplus flesh. He owned a rich farm and a blacksmith shop and he was a good workman. He sold out and spent his declining years in California, where he died in 1912. A number of his children are inCalifornia."
