  4. The obituary for G.W. reads "G.W. ARNSPIGER TAKEN BY DEATH Paralytic Stroke is Fatal to Paris Pike Resident. A paralytic stroke suffered last November resulted in the death of George William Arnspiger, 84, at 9:40 o'clock Sunday night at his home on the Paris pike. Had he lived until Wednesday he and Mrs. Arnspiger would have celebrated the 56th anniversary of their wedding.

    Born in Franklin county, April 8, 1849, he was the son of Gabriel and Malinda Arnspiger. He and Mrs. Arnspiger, the former Miss Laura C. Steves, were married Feb 21, 1878.

    Mr. Arnspiger was a member of Broadway Christian church for 53 years and was one of the oldest members of Merrick lodge, I.O.O.F.

    Besides his widow he is survived by three sons, William Steves Arnspiger, Indianapolis; Eugene N. Arnspiger, Chicago, and Richard Arnspiger, Lexington; one grandson, Eugene Arnspiger Jr., Chicago; three nieces, Miss Laura K. Johnston, Lexington; Miss Frances Davis, Cincinnati, and Miss Martha Davis, Daytona Beach, Fla; and two nephews, William Payne Lovell, Indianapolis and Rodes Arnspiger, Lexington.

    Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Arnspiger and Eugene Arnspiger reached Lexington today.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Broadway Christian church, Rev. Mark Collis and Rev. William E. Sweeney will officiate. Pallbearers will be John J. Bell, B.D. Barber, L.N. Clugston, Ben Allen, A.J. Griffee and J. Ralph Smith. Interment will be in Lexington cemetery. Merrick Lodge No 31, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, will have charge of services at the grave."
