Looking for the parents of Frederick Sheets/Shitz who died in York Co., PA in 1758. He was in Heidelberg Twp by 1749 where he patented 100a. Wife Elizabeth remarried to a Giesel by 1762. Children listed in orphans court of York Co., PA by 1762 were Philip who was assigned a guardian, Adam, Henry, Dewalt, Elizabeth wf of someone, Christiana, and Catherine who is dead. Parents of Johann Frederick Schutz/Sheats/Sheetz are believed to be Johann Philip Schutz, b. 1-14-1661/1662 in Neckarbishofschiem, Germany and Maria Margaretha Aurle 1665-1742. My source on this information was Steven Giardini; according to his notes the original source of the information was Jim Sheetz (www.sheetz.org). That website is no longer functional. I am not aware of actual documentation that proves the lineage but it probably exists somewhere.
